We are located in the very heart of Istria, in the village of Paladini right under Vrh (a small town, known as the belvedere of Istria) from where you have a full breathtaking view of the inland Istria and the magnificent Butoniga lake.
The small Istrian town of Vrh, located near Buzet, seats at the top of a hill to the north from the Butoniga lake. This exceptional location allows you to see more 130 cities, towns, villages and churches on the Istrain peninsula from the top of the bell-tower. In Vrh, thethere is the parish church of ”Uznesenje Marijino” which dates back in 1231 containing a most significant monument – the so called stone tabernacle (kamena kustodija) with figures presented in a decorative ornament and an inscription in glagolitic alphabet. Another old architectonic monument in Vrh is the chapel of Saint Antun the Abbot, erected in XV century, renovated in 1894, and located near the access road towards south. Today the chapel bears a stone plate indicating the year it was built, the name of its builder, the priest and the laical administrator of the church properties.
