Il negozio attuale con tartufi della famiglia Karlić di Paladini, vicino a Pinguente, ha cominciato il Sig. Ivan Rašpolić nel 1966 del secolo scorso. In questo tempo il bosco di Montona è stato più grande che oggi. Il tartufo bianco e nero trovati in questo settore sono stati considerati tartufi di altissima qualità in Istria. Anche se uno dei siti più ricchi di tartufi è stato - nel attuale fondo del lago Butoniga!
L’addestramento inizia quando il cucciolo ha circa tre mesi. Dovrebbe essere eseguito dalla persona che spende maggior tempo con lui e che eventualmente diventerà la sua guida nella caccia al tartufo. La fase di addestramento è una fase seria, ma al tempo stesso prevede degli intervalli di svago e di divertimento per il cucciolo.

Il tartufo è un fungo sotterraneo tuberosa con un gusto specifico che è considerato un pico della gastronomia. Cresce nel cuore d’Istria, in umida e grigia terra nei boschi vicino a Pinguente, dove corre il fiume Mirna. Per trovare tesoro nascosto con l’aiuto di cani ammaestrati.
